Data updates in Local Insight

A roundup of the March data updates in Local Insight

All the monthly unemployment data from the Department for Work and Pensions has been updated in Local Insight. Listed below are all the updated datasets:

  • Youth unemployment (18-24 receiving JSA)
  • Unemployment benefit (JSA and Universal Credit)
  • Unemployment benefit
  • Jobseekers Allowance claimants, claiming for over 12 months
  • Jobseekers Allowance claimants, female
  • Jobseekers Allowance claimants, male

Time to update your reports

To see this latest unemployment data in your reports you must generate new reports for your custom areas. To do this, simply click Request Report on the Manage Custom areas page. For more information about the Reports in Local Insight, check out the Report section in our Knowledge Base.

New housing affordability indicator coming soon

We are excited to announce that we will soon be launching a housing affordability indicator in Local Insight. Follow this thread on our Community section for more information and updates on when this indicator will be live In Local Insight .

Where can I find the Community forum?

The Community forum can be found on the support tab of Local Insight.

Click on Support ,this will take you through to the Knowledge Base. Scroll down and you can find Community at the bottom. Click Browse in the top right hand corner to open up all the topics and discussions

How to register to be an active participant in the Community forum

All Local Insight users can peruse the Community section but to be an active participant and be able to like, comment and post new content you must be registered. Registering is very easy and takes 1 minute.

How can I get involved?

Post a question: Got a burning Local Insight related question? Chances are, somebody else is thinking the same! Share your question in Community and start up a discussion.

Comment on existing threads. For example, comment to let us know how you plan to use a new feature on the Development plan section.

Up Vote someone else’s comment or post to add your vote to their post. This is another way of letting us know what is most important to you – and can be really helpful when it comes to planning future work.

Follow threads you are interested in so you get updates when something has changed. For example, follow the Coming Soon threads to get a notification when new features are launched.
